What changed
Enemy gold drops were increased generally, and Mammon enemies received a specific 2x gold multiplier. Both the official notes and an independent report corroborate the Mammon doubling.

What this means for your route
If two routes are otherwise similar for your build, Mammon is now the clearer candidate when your immediate constraint is gold. That is a planning suggestion based on the confirmed multiplier, not a claim that Mammon is the fastest farm in every situation.
Route efficiency still depends on travel time, enemy density, clear speed, deaths, and your current equipment. The patch notes provide no per-enemy payout table, so an exact gold-per-minute ranking would be invented.

Simple before-and-after check
To evaluate the change for yourself, use the same short Mammon loop before changing gear, record starting and ending gold, and note elapsed time and deaths. This is a suggested personal comparison method; this site has not performed or published a controlled farming test.

When the Mammon bonus is useful
Choose Mammon when gold is your immediate bottleneck and you can clear a familiar route safely. If you instead need a specific crafting item or progression objective, the confirmed 2x Mammon multiplier does not prove that abandoning that objective produces better overall progress.
Use a three-part route note: gold gained, minutes spent, and failed or interrupted runs. Compare routes only with the same build and similar stopping point. This method turns the patch's confirmed multiplier into a decision aid without inventing a universal best farm or a gold-per-minute figure.
A common mistake is to read 'twice as much gold' as 'twice as fast progression.' Travel, combat time, deaths, and non-gold resource needs remain outside the published patch data. The supported conclusion is limited to enemy gold drops in Mammon, not the total value of every possible route.
