Mortal Shell II is a standalone action-RPG sequel developed by Cold Symmetry and published by Playstack. Its listed platforms are PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with an August 20, 2026 release date.

Cold Symmetry says it plans regular updates and has named Night Mode, Tarstones, and PP Items as areas for future expansion, but no dates were announced for those additions as of August 23, 2026.

If you want the full first-patch list, open the Balance Patch 1 overview. If you only need your refunded Glimpses, use the location guide. Console players should check the PS5 status page, while players choosing upgrades can jump directly to the gold, smelting, boss, or gear guides.

Every status statement is dated. Official notes are treated as the authority for values; community reports are labeled instead of being presented as developer confirmation.

Before following a guide, compare its updated date with your installed build and platform. A PC note, a PS5 player report, and an Xbox rollout are not interchangeable. When a developer has not published an exact value, this site will not invent one.

Use the patch overview to understand the whole update, then move to one task page before spending currency or changing a build. The refund page answers where to collect eligible Glimpses; the gold and smelting pages answer economy questions; the boss and gear pages isolate combat changes; the crash page separates confirmed fixes from unresolved reports.

For any time-sensitive page, write down your platform and installed version first. That one-minute check prevents three common mistakes: following PC-only timing on a console, treating a community report as an official rollout notice, or applying an older hotfix claim to Balance Patch 1.
